What are you thoughts for everyday computing tasks like email, web surfing, iTunes, blah blah. This, besides occasional word documents and excel stuff is all I ever do FYI.

My apple store only has one on display and it's got the higher ram and CPU in it. So I need someones take on how the base one works before I consider pulling the trigger.. Thanks guys!

For web surfing, youtube, itunes, document production, it works just fine. Don't let the 2gb of RAM fool you.

I do (128 SSD) but the 2GB ram is just fine. Been using lightroom, photoshop, NewNewsWire and blogging. Doing well for exactly what I needed it for.

Compared to the ones in the stores, the base only has less SSD space. It will work exactly the same, so you should get a good feel from the demo models because CPU and RAM is the same.

No hiccups, no issues. Surfing (with a dozen tabs open), iTunes, Office 11 for Mac, iPhoto. Opened iMovie just to see how it would respond when called on.

This is the best Mac laptop I've owned. From a 2007 White MacBook to a 2009 MacBook Pro to this. This owns them all for what I do with my laptop.

I'm looking to swap my 2008/2009 13" MBP to an 11" MBA. I like the size of the 11" but am afraid I'll miss the backlit keyboard and the battery life.

That's what I wanted to see :)
