iPad Pro Anyone planning on staying with the new Pro's original iOS?

I know iOS11 is touted to be the greatest especially with the new 12.9 Pros yet is there anyone who is sticking with iOS10 that comes loaded on the new iPads?
I'm on the fence as out of the box the stock iOS is pretty amazing yet the iOS11 promises made (and seen with the beta) are attractive too.
 
I’ll probably keep iOS 10 installed on my iPad until iOS 11 becomes public in September. I keep going back and forth we with the idea. I have beta installed on my iPhone 7 Plus and it’s pretty buggy. I would hate to skew my user experience with a buggy OS.

Me idc how awesome iOS 11 is, I'll wait till Christmas even so they can work out all the bugs. I rely on my ipad wether for school or just to get through my days of Reddit, Macrumors , and YouTube marathon sessions. I hate when my devices have a minor glitch let alone a beta full of broken functions and bugs galor
 
Nope. When iOS 11 is released, do a clean install of iOS 11, and set up a "new iPad." Will make an enormous performance difference. It always have with all prior iPads and iOS releases.

I've talked about this quite a bit before on these forums. Clean install is the way to go for your iPad and iPhone.

I've always done it this way, I'll be clean installing 10.3.3 on the phone and pad when it releases and rocking that for AWHILE
 
I'm queen of lagging on updates, but I will probably jump to 11 on all devices as soon as it is public. I usually try to wait for the first .1 release.

I won't even mention how far back my iPad air is... Oops!

Seriously a clean install of iOS 10 would do that Air some good.

iPad 4 on iOS 6. Works just as fast as the day I got it. Of course, can't install new apps on it now and some websites look wonky. :p

Also had an iPad 3 on iOS 6 before that got traded in for the 2017 iPad 9.7. :D

I'm keeping my iPhone 7 and Pro 9.7 (daily driver) on iOS 10. Will setup the 12.9 as new and install the public beta as soon as I get it (should be coming around the same time). :p

I may give iOS 11 Beta another go in about a month but my experience with it on my iPad mini 4 was unbearable. I could try again on the 10.5" before I settle down with iOS 10. But iOS 11 will be on all my devices when it officially drops. That's like reason 2 why I switched from Android to iOS on my daily drivers.
 
It's kind of lame, but some of my favorite apps are 32 bit and iOS11 doesn't support them. For example, the iPad version of Peggle won't load on the new iPad Pro (if I install iOS11) along with a few other apps I enjoy.
 
Not yet decided if I put the beta on my mini 3 or 10.5" pro ; maybe easier to keep the mini as is for the time and just mess up the new kid in the blocks
 
Once you've seen iOS11, there is no way back, iOS10 feels so ancient in comparison
Immediately after getting my iPP10.5 I installed iOS11 and it's fantastic
 
I'm going back to iOS10 - battery mainly - my iPad 12.9 didn't get through an 8-hr board meeting yesterday and my iPhone 7+ lasts four hours at best. WIll wait for the public beta I think.
 
I'll stick with iOS10 till the 11 GM.

I bunged the beta on my 12.9" which I don't use much. It's interesting, and seems to work okay, but general performance feels a bit janky, experienced a few minor bugs, had a couple of hard resets and it always feels like problems are imminent. Which is fine, it's a beta 1, but when my 10.5" arrives at lunch time today, I want to experience the glory of the 120hz display and the stability that comes with a mature point release of iOS. Performance and snappiness is why I love iOS, which you sacrifice with very early betas.

For my tastes, 10.5" with the beta will feel like a downgrade from my 9.7" iPP, which is not what I want from new hardware. It helps that my iPad is 90% for entertainment purposes, so the undeniable productivity improvements of iOS11 I'm willing to wait a few months for.

can you do a 'semi' clean install? eg a clean install of the OS, but then restoring your apps and settings? You'd think those things could be very much separated - its just a list of the apps you have installed and what position on each page the icons are, so just download htem from the store. Likewise with restoring accounts etc.
