My friends recommendation and this review have me curious:
http://ps3.ign.com/articles/121/1216517p1.html

I must say for how much he gushes over the "spectacular gameplay" he really says nothing as to why it is so good other than it is customizable.

The combat doesn't LOOK so spectacular from the video, so it only piqued my curiosity more.

EDIT: Just saw the release date is February 7th, feel foolish asking if anyone's played now.

There's a demo that's been out for weeks. I played it. Wasn't impressed due to bugs. It wasn't even playable on my laptop. I'll try it again in a bit, or read a bunch of reviews and demo it again.

I played the demo today (on my PS3) and I'll probebly be buying it for my bootcamp partition.

I loved it a lot, even though I jumped in with lots of second thoughts about it. It reminded me quite a lot of a combination of Fable / Buldars Gate: Dark Alliance / Skyrim / God Of War.

The reasons I had second thoughts was because of all the vids I've seen of it, it looked to bright / colorful for me + I didn't really get what was so spectacular about the combat. That is until I tried the demo, I walked away loving the art direction / colors + the combat is really really satisfying.

The story is deep and intense (written by Salvator) and offers a simple story on the surface (for casual games) but once it gets rolling it gets really deep, and there's tuns of backstory here.

The demo did have some glitches / bugs, but the developers say those won't be in the final version which will be in store the 7th of february.

I'm Stil playing through tons of other games (skyrim / rage / Castlevania / AC: Revelations / Batman: AC / and tons of others) But I think I might get this one on its release date, I loved every second of the demo!

This looks really interesting, I'll definitely be checking it out when it releases.

Devs claim the demo was forked out a few months ago and retail does not have the bugs the demo has.

I played thru the demo and enjoyed it a lot. I got the game now, but haven't had time playing it yet, but reviews so far are great and they claim it's much more stable.

It's fun, it fulfills that little helper monkey need I have to be useful and run and do useless errands like in WoW, and has a sense of humor. Worth it to me.

playing true the campaign, only played for 4 hours (to much work to play anything atm). but I can confirm that most of the demo bugs aren't in the retail version + so far I'm really enjoying it.
