Sounds like 10.8.5 and the supplement are a disaster for most users. Just wondering if anyone has installed and still been able to use skype, among other issues I've read about here. i.e. sleep problems, time machine problems, etc.

Thanks!

I wanted to upgrade to 10.8 but I just didn't feel like spending the money.

I'm pretty sure my computer can handle it. I'll check my specs later, I might pull the trigger. I upgraded the ram from 4GB to 8GB last year.

Is it possible to skip over 10.8 and go to 10.9 from 10.7??

No, they're clearly not a disaster for most users.

I have 10.8.4 and it's great. I've read so many "problem posts" about 10.8.5 and the supplement, I'm nervous about installing. I'm sure I could have phrased it better, just trying to find out if anyone has had a positive experience.
