Anyone put a 2012 mini into a 2010 slotted superdrive case?

I have the case. But reports on old 123mini pages say I have to notch out and resolder a capacitor on the 2012 logic board.

Is this true? Would the capacitor be smaller on the i5 2012 Mac Mini's logic board, which is the one I want to upgrade?

I do have the slimline Superdrive, not the fat one that comes standard with the 2010 mini's.

Anyone have any info on this? Thanks
