Hi,

I need to extract some images from photos and was wondering if anyone could recommend any suitable apps, preferably from the Mac app store?

I'm looking to cut around the edges of some objects so I can take them out of my photos and paste into a separate file for a project I'm working on.

(don't have the budget for Photoshop CSwhatever unfortunately.)

Thanks very much.

Preview has some damn useful features when it comes to cutting simple objects. Give it a shot, it's free and you already have it.

All applications below have already been mentioned.

Preview and iPhoto should both be suitable for your needs (I would prefer Preview out of the two), otherwise Pixelmator is worth the small price (get it on the App store and get the upgrade free when released). You can also download GIMP and SeaShore.
