This may not be the exact quote but sentence I have recreated below covers the core message of the quote I am trying to remember:

"PC in the living room and shared with family cannot be considered to be truly 'personal' device"

and they claimed Apple by providing either iPhone or iPad, has finally realised truly 'personal' device.

My memory is highly biased now, so I totally gave up on googling for this or browsing through the transcripts of the suspected keynotes.

You are my only hope to confirm that somebody at Apple actually mentioned this kind of statement at the Keynote.

My very first guess was:

  • It was Steve Jobs who delivered this quote
  • It was the Keynote they introduced touchID
But I found out that the touchID was introduced in Tim Cook era. So my memory is messed up. Now I am questioning myself if it was made up by myself and nobody from Apple have said it. I still highly doubt that is the case.

Please help me if you remember anything similar to the quote above.

Cheers!
