Anyone running a nMP with two Thunderbolt Displays?

Is anyone with a new Mac Pro running dual thunderbolt displays? I'm curious if anyone has run into the same issue as me:

I have two thunderbolt displays plugged into ports 1 & 2 as per this Apple KB article. Everything works great except for once every day or two one of the two monitors will turn black then immediately come back on about a half second later. This only happens to one of the two monitors and seems to be random as to which monitor it happens to. I don't believe this has anything to do with screen power settings as its only one of the two screens and it happens while I'm using the computer. Has anyone run into an issue like this? I've got an Apple Care case open but I was hoping it wasn't just me having the issue.

I dont have the exact config as you. But it is known for my monitors to flash like you are talking about. Mine are DisplayPort monitors as well.

So you're certainly not alone, and I'd be very interested to hear the response from Apple.

Glad (well not glad) to hear you are having a similar issue. My hope is that it is a display driver issue and nothing indicating a potential hardware issue. Other than this minor issue the computer has been amazing, my main concern is that this could be an indicator of a bigger issue down the road so I want to get it resolved under warranty. Interesting that our hardware specs are fairly similar... I will update this thread with anything I get from Apple.

OS: 10.9.3
Proc: 3.5Ghz 6 core
RAM: 32GB (OEM from Apple)
Video: D300
Drive: 1TB SSD
No thunderbolt devices other than the two monitors.

I have that (plus one off HDMI) and no issues.

(In case it matters, they are DisplayPort connections, not Thunderbolt ones.)

What OS are you guys on? 10.9.3? I noticed a lot of graphics issues when 10.9.3 came about.

I'm running dual Thunderbolt displays and no real problems so far. I did notice on booting into Win8.1, the secondary monitor needs to "initialize". But it's always the same monitor.

I'm also OS x10.9.3.

I am running a Late 2013 rMBP with 2 Thunderbolt displays, both rotated. Recently I have noticed issues with one or both going black also. Usually I pull the TB to the rMBP and the Power from the wall to both monitors. Then I plug them back in and it usually takes care of the problem. It does seem to happen when they are hot. I also have noticed more trouble waking from sleep overnight and have turned that off until I have time to investigate.

Just to add more information. I have a 6,1 Mac Pro (12-core D700s) with 2 Apple Thunderbolt displays, but in addition I have a USB 3 hub connected to the Mac Pro and an HDMI monitor.

I do not have the issue of any screen going dark. So maybe if you have an HDMI monitor plug it in and see if the issue goes away?

The only real "issue" I had was that I designate a main screen, but on start up, the 2nd screen will display the start up logo, then switch back to the main screen. I have tried to switch the Thunderbolt connections to other ports and I always get that behavior. Don't know exactly why a screen is always designated as a startup screen the same way.

I am going to give this one a try. A very weird idea, but what 10.9.3 did for people with over 2 monitors was crazy as well so I wouldn't be surprised if this fixes it...

I am still experiencing this issue and I'm seeing the same message in the console logs every time it happens:

7/9/14 6:12:07.551 PM Console[8484]: setPresentationOptions called with NSApplicationPresentationFullScreen when there is no visible fullscreen window; this call will be ignored.

Every time the screen blinks that message is the latest entry in the log. I haven't been able to track down the cause but I wanted to know if anyone else experiencing the problem is using VMWare Fusion full screen? I am running two guest OS's full screen on virtual desktops that switch between regularly.
