I am just wondering if anyone has seen any Macbook Airs in any of the Apple stores around the world?

I have read many posts on MacRumors of people who have bought a new MBA and have had to replace them x3 times regarding different issues. So what is happening to all those MBAs that have been returned? I thought they would become refurbished models, but I have not seen any on the US Apple Store.

Does anyone have any idea why?

I can speculate on a few reasons:

1. the MBA is so new, they are not ready to release refurbs into the marketplace yet, preferring to sell new models

2. The system has only been available a month. Despite what you are reading here, they are not being returned en masse, but rather those with exceptional problems are doing so. As such the supply is not as great as some might think

3. It having been aonly a month, those units probably have to go through a refurb and retest process; that actually takes some time as well.

Even if they have a supply of refurbs ready to sell it is going to be a little while before Apple sells them. They have to protect the premium price they are charging for now.
