i have a jailbroken iphone 3g, which i have been having some problems with. right before my iphone took a **** on the jailbreak, the screen was very bright in the middle and very dim on the outer edges. i couldnt scroll pages, touch or open any of the apps, but i could bring down my SBsettings widget thing and respring my phone. i did that and the screen was still the same. i could go to the lockscreen, and i could unlock it, but the home screen was still bright/dim. this has also happened a few times before the phone puked, now im in the middle of figuring it all out..........

im just curious if anyone has see the bright/dim frozen home screen???? and what it might be from???

Sounds like the effect that happens when you have a popup message. The screen dims except in the middle.

Edit: I don't have a clue how to fix it, but that at least should get you looking in the right direction.
