Anyone seen this problem before? Many lines on screen...

If you look here at images 2, 3, and 4:

There are diagonal lines running in the screen, is this a logic board issue or a LCD issue?

looks like it's been battered around a bit, could be a loose connection between the LCD and logic board.

I had this problem on an early 90s PowerBook. I remember that if I pushed hard certain places on the hinges it would lessen the problem, so I imagine it was some sort of connection problem.

I'd return that. How old is it?
And yes, looks like a connection problem.

Happened to my linux box all the time under both linux and windows if I rebooted my computer. I'd turn it off and wait a few seconds and turn it back on and it would be gone.

Not sure what it means for notebooks..

Is this laptop infront of you, or are you just looking at pictures? It could be a camera problem with the frequency of the screen, rather than a physical fault!

I had a logic board die on an iBook back in 2003, and the interference was far more random than that.

No, unfortunately it's not just the camera.....

how about the video card?......

Aren't they built into the motherboard? Or can you change them out?

Alright, well it doesn't seem to be the connection, even with an external monitor hooked up, it still shows the lines ....

well that would be my first guess then the logic board....but i forgot the all important question what computer are we talking about macbook macbook pro?
powerbook ibook? maybe more info will help

I have seen similar issues in windows machines and it almost always ended up being a video card issue.

It is a macbook pro, and unfortunately you can't just replace the video card can you?

That happened on my last Dell laptop. It was a video card issue (my second one in three years with that piece of junk Dell).

yeah i dont think you can just replace the video card i think they are right and you have to replace the logic and like posted above. get applecare. but looking at your pictures id think the video card is faulty. take it in see what they say.
