Hey so i bought a refurb iPhone the other week. I didn't buy a service and went straight to activating and jailbreaking. After some consideration i tried unlocking my iPhone on iLiberty+ with 3.9 FB bootloader. When it was trying to unlock it said it couldn't be done. Then i assumed that i recieved an old 3.9 bootloader iPhone. Does unlocking a 3.9 bootloader void your warraanty? ISN'T IT PERMANANTLEY PUT IN 3.9 BOOTLOADER ANYWAYS? How does apple know if you unlocked your iPhone? Anyways i think im screwed either way cause i didn't even buy a service so they will be wondering how i used the iPhone if i hadn't had a service. But if i did send it in, i would restore it and all? SO WHATS THE DEAL, JAILBREAKING/ACTIVATING/UNLOCKED ALWAYS VOIDS YOUR WARRANTY? OR ARE THERE WAYS TO AVOID THIS? HOW WILL THEY NOW? AND IF THEY DID WOULD THEY JUST SEND IT BACK? thanks

Oh by the way i ended up unlocking through ZiPhone cause when i unlocked on iLiberty+ my sound from my iPhone could not be heard through speakers or headphones. I just clicked unlock, isn't the ZiPhone is "unreversible" thing only having to do with 4.6bootloader iPhones? mine was orginially 3.9 so whats the differnce?

My iPhone was previously jailbroken and unlocked. Had a hardware fault, called Apple, they asked my # and gave them my friend's [he has iPhone with AT&T, so I acted as I were him]. Sent my iPhone, and they gave me a replacement, no questions asked. Just Apple sent me a notice in a "your iPhone could not be repaired due to hardware failure, so we sent you a replacement" letter.

what was the fault, mind me asking? but thats good news. wait did your friend give you his # to tell to apple. did your friend have an iPhone?
