10.5" iPad Pro iOS 12.1.1, I have had trouble ever since buying into iCloud Syncing w duplicates. I thought that I could wipe my 10.5" iPad Pro and have iCloud reload, possibly ridding my duplicates. But maybe it doesn't work like that. Maybe iCloud duplicates, duplicates. Anyways, growing tired of seeing duplicates following complete wipe and restore, I bought Gemini Duplicates from MacPaw. I had several hundred duplicates on my 10.5" iPad Pro. I don't understand why I have to buy a duplicate finder for issues w iCloud syncing. Why can't Apple provide a duplicate finder for iOS? I had as many as 5 duplicates of the same image.

Anyone else having duplicate issues with iCloud syncing?

How could there be remaining duplicates after a full wipe? Are you saying there are duplicates
in the cloud? Then how could this be cleaned up locally? Sorry, trying to follow

You're exactly right. I am confused too. I wiped the 10.5" iPad Pro. Restored from iMazing. After signing into the cloud I noticed I have some duplicates again. Maybe there were duplicates in the iMazing. I ran Gemini Duplicates found several hundred duplicates, five at a time, some. I'm having a hard time figuring out how so many duplicates got into this syncing situation. Did they come from wiping the 10.5" iPad Pro, or wiping the main hard drive and restoring from backups?

I'm just not sure, first, why duplicates don't show on my devices, nor second, how they get there using iCloud Syncing on three devices. Then why Apple can't show us duplicates like in iTunes.
[doublepost=1546830058][/doublepost]I guess I am asking, do I search my iCloud account for duplicates too? Can I do that from my computer?

You can log into icloud and check for duplicates by inspection. You will only see icons, but you will get
file names. I don't think itunes backs up to icloud. I think it is some sort of implicit back up. Not sure.

What is iMazing? Why not restore from Apple? Maybe you had extra media local on the
ipad? I just keep it simple with icloud back up. Good luck. This plagued Microsoft OneCloud 5 years
ago--which is why I called it 2cloud

iMazing can restore iOS apps from its backup, no downloading from Apple, plus a basic backup, but no iTunes media (neither does iCloud).

Looking for duplicates by icon is impossible to me, you can't tell from a title what is the image.

I bought a duplicate or similar checker from MacPaw that allowed me to see all duplicates, even duplicates in the cloud. Now I have no duplicates any longer. But I still think this should be part of iCloud.
