I'm in Canada and want to buy the GS4 with the Exynos Octa. Does anyone know if Samsung sells their phones carrier free? Also, where would my updates come from since I wouldn't have a carrier phone?
If you're gunning for the Exynos version of the S4, you're gonna have to scour the net for the Korean version as that will be the "fully loaded" model.

The updates would come from Samsung, I suppose. And in theory, they'd come sooner than carrier-versions, me thinks?
I, too, am interested in where I can buy unlocked S4's...
Fully loaded model?

Loaded with Exynos 8 core (big.little) and PowerVR GPU as opposed to the 4 core Snapdragon with Adreno 320 I assume.
Nope, he means that the Korean version is the only Exynos 5 Octa -based SGS4 variant that comes with LTE support. The international version supports only 3G networks.
Expansys sells unlocked phones. Here's the link to the Canadian site for Expansys: http://www.expansys.ca/
Thanks. Gotcha... So Samsung are actually building three SKU's.......
(Excluding solid state storage differences as well)...
