i3g shows a prety convincing demo of the SIM approach.

Anyone tried this? I'm tempted to go for it myself so I'll post my experiences here later

i3gSim works!

I just installed the i3gSim-A product and I'm able to make outgoing calls and receive incoming. The vendor is super quick in processing my order. It was literally minutes after I placed the order that they responded with shipping details. I ordered the SIM around 8 pm on Jan 9 and it was delivered Jan 11. I live in Canada so chose the 1-2 business days option with DHL.

The only tricky part is cutting your carrier's SIM card to fit the i3gSim and then fitting both back into the iPhone. Takes a bit of patience but the results is worth it.

This device is just the same China3GPP piggy-back SIM device we sell for less - US$65. And we charge less for delivery as we don't use DHL, but offer Registered Post for US$15 or Express Courier for US$39

Not true. When checking out, they charge only $15 for US 2nd day delivery. $35 for overnight shipping. And they process order FAST!!!! I place my order Thuesday Morning like 1am, chose overnight and received it on Wednesday morning. Superb. and highly recommanded!!!

I just went to the checkout and checked it again!

They charge US$15 for USA delivery. We charge US$15.

They charge US$45 for Canada. We charge US$15.

They charge US$55 for other countries. We charge US$15.

For Australian delivery they charge US$55. We charge US$4.50.

They charge US$70 for the China3GPP device - we charge US$65.

I bought two cards from them. Super good communication, relatively speedy shipping, and the cards work perfectly in OOB 1.1.2 U.S. iphone. I think they're a little pricey given that these look like the V.3 Chinese chips, but so far they work so that's good.

Also, i checked china3gpp website... it seems that the only bit that is in English has a link to i3gsim.com, i don't see any of your websites anywhere, A3Australia. Someone is saying that you are selling a copy/fake product of china3gpp.

I ordered an i3gsim A from i3gsim.com on Tuesday (1/15) night. It was 69.95 and their cheapest form of shipping was $15 2nd Day Air via DHL. An hour or so after I ordered I got an email confirming that a tracking number had been assigned and a label had been printed for my shipment. It shipped the following day, and will arrive tomorrow. It ships from Southern California in case anyone is wondering.

I'm not saying that any other product or seller is the wrong way to go. But, it seems that a shipper within the US is the best choice for fast service if you also happen to be inside the US or Canada. Just my $.02 .

BTW, I'm picking up my iPhone at an apple store in Portland tomorrow morning. I'll be sure to let ya'll know what week and software version it has and if/how the jailbreak goes.

I don't know what your problem is mate. Or why you seem so hostile.

We are in Australia and we dispatch from Australia. There are flights several times a day to most major centers around the world.

Our cheapest delivery (US$15) is by Registered Post and takes an estimated 2-6 days with tracking and signature delivery.

Our Express Courier Delivery costs US$39, but it would be used for large orders, and takes 2 days.

Well i just purchased one for $104.94 AU (inc shipping) from A3Australia, quite different to the 65 US advertised. But hey such is life. I will let you know when I get it and how it pans out.

I also found this http://www.igozz.com/m63.html $59.99 US including shipping. Haven't tried it but its a china3gpp sim, similar to the nextsim (i believe). they have advertised it as a turbosim which it isn't if you look at the pics.

You mixing up Australian dollars and US$

And US$65 is just the device - without delivery charges to the UK etc.

Why has no one locked this SPAM thread? I'm all for these SIM-mod unlocks (I've no need for it as mine is software unlocked, not to mention that they eventually damage your phone), but come on, this is just advertising masked as a legitimate thread.

The TurboSIM from Bladox s.r.o. has been on the market since 2004, with no report of any damaged 'phones as yet.

Show some proof, or shut up and retract your claim.

well im not trying to promote anyones website, but i did get my sim (branded china3gpp), cut my optus sim, stuck them together and it worked. had the iphone sitting at my desk for 2 months and couldn't take it any longer.

i have been able to do everything so far, including gprs (had to change the settings for optus). only issue i had was when going to the carrier settings it would come back with an error, when i turned the wifi on it then worked. otherwise im happy

Good to hear you received it OK. Just a couple of questions.

We sent it by Registered Post, how long did it take to arrive?

Were the pictorial instructions easy to understand?

Did you know to run iWorld? We forgot to add this to the package instructions, but it was on our web site guide.

I read this thread when I first got my iPhone.

At that time I had it 'jailbroken' to 1.1.2

I was in no hurry to get the phone working, as I was too busy playing with the " iPod Touch w/ Camera " I had!

This morning I received my I3GSIM and am excited to say, it works and installing it was " so easy a caveman could so it "

I am extremely particular about what I buy and how I use it.

Now some told me to " just cut off a piece of your SIM so the I3GSIM fits over it. "

Well I wanted more precision, so I measured out exactly where the chip was and used a Deremel Tool cutoff wheel to " carve out " the area on the T-Mobile SIM where the chip would poke through.

Put the two pieces together, shoved them in the phone and IT WORKS !!!!!!

NOTE: My son had his JB 1.1.2 phone done with another module. He went to a place and watched as they did it. They had to try 3 different pieces to get one to work.

At least he was there in person, and did not have to worry about mailing it back and forth 3 times.

I am extremely happy with the I3GSIM, sorry I did not take pics, but when you get the piece it is soooo obvious how easy it will go.




NEXT STEP: take it up to 1.1.3
