Anyone tried macmate invisible shield?

I understand that the different shields (wrapsol, zagg etc) is more then just plastic sheets. But 50$ for covering up a macbook air 11"?? Thats the price of a leather case!?

On one of the pictures it even looks like its the frosty kind(like wrapsol), which blends in with apples brushed aluminum.

I ordered it today, will come back with a review... Because im planning to buy a book case to keep the macbook in at all time, i dont realy care that much about how the skin looks, its just nice to have some extra protection...

You buy a beautiful sculptured aluminium case, then cover it in a wrap?

Maybe just me, but I do not understand it. Part of the pleasure of the MBA when I am using it is just the feel of the smooth metal case.

So ive bin using the macmate skin for a couple of weeks now. And its nice, except for the inevitable peaces of dust under the skin.

I have never seen wrapsols version IRL, but this is exactly what i wanted, a skin that keeps the frosty look, and melts in with the brushed aluminum.

It wouldnt surprise me if its from the same factory as wrapsol, and pay a lot more for the fancy box.
