After looking around the top grossing iPad apps in the apps store. I came across office HD app. It says you can pull from google docs, edit changes and sync back with the online version. It's getting decent reviews. Has anyone tried this yet?

It may look like a good solution compared to pages, and numbers. Considering you can edit from google docs.

Yes this does look very good, but reviews I read mentioned it was buggy as hell. Ive been keeping my eye on this one to be updated (if I remember it works with iDisk too). Hopefully will be updated soon!!!

Im still convinced MS are gonna release a Office app at some point however this looks like it would fill in for that nicely!

I bought Pages and Numbers so hoping Apple will make them better compatible with Office and integrate better syncing solutions

Okay thats good to hear. I'll have to keep an eye on this app as well.

I bought it, and it's recently been updated so the bugs with formatting on gdocs hav been ironed out. Can't compare it with Pages and Numbers cos I don't have those, but it's a good app.

Not really, I find it morenthan sufficient for my needs, which are at about medium levelnfor word processing, and basic level for spreadsheets.

I bought this before my iPad arrived on Friday morning, and last night used it to do some actual work, which it emailed for me. I didn't notice any features missing or working badly.

I don't understand why there isn't an app that can view and edit Google Docs in real time like you can with the browser online.

Is it a Google API thing? Do they support it?

EDIT: Tried it. First, the icons and some UI text placement is bad. Main problem is that it doesn't open GDocs created with the new editor.

I'll try it as well. Sounds like it good be a decent workaround for a while. Hopefully one day MS will start supporting the iPad.

After pasting in text from a Word doc yesterday it did weird things with the formatting and didn't allow me to select or copy certain lines of text. Only problem so far, but now I hesitate to use it.
