hi all

anyone try burning a double layer DVD in their MacPro yet? I've never tried it. Any recommended brand of disk you've found that play nice in the machine?

Cheers!

I have, and it’s fine. Just remember that it’s only DVD+R DL media that can be used, and not the more common DVD-R DL. (At least that’s the case in my stock Sony-badged NEC superdrive.) I used ‘Titanium’ discs, because those were the most easily available on Amazon.co.uk when I ordered them. Not one of the eight discs I burnt came out a coaster. Not that that’s a particularly useful statistic because I haven’t burnt that many.

Yeh my came with the Optiarc burner (which I believe is the Sony). I'll give it a shot.

I've had good success with both Sony and Verbatim DVD+R DL discs. No success with HP.

Cheers.
