Hey all. Own a last generation 15" middle-tier MBP C2D. Awesome machine (and I've been able to get pretty good framerates out of Wow at default resolution) but the video card pales in comparison to the new one.

I was going to go for the logical upgrade (15" middle-tier of this generation), but I noticed the 1920x1200 option on the 17".

Has anyone tried gaming at that resolution, and what have been your experiences with it? I admit I'm not a big fan of dropping resolution to get better framerates -- it often looks terrible on a LCD. In particular, I'm interested if anyone is running Wow at max settings (except full screen AA).

Appreciate any info. Thanks!

I've been playing the Quake Wars beta on XP with all graphical details turned up to max and res at 1920x1200, and it all runs just so beautifully (8600M GT, 256MB)

Between my new MBP (GodBook) and my iPhone (JesusPhone), I truly am in techno heaven! :)

EDIT: I should also note that I never turn on AA nor tested it on any games on my MBP, but I can vouch for the graphics performance without it.
