I haven't tried it, but one comment is that nothing about it seems to be "Thunderbolt 3". I hate incorrect Amazon descriptions.

It appears to be an inexpensive USB-C hub with VESA DisplayPort Alt Mode passthrough to an HDMI converter. Note that at 4K it can only do 30hz. Here are tech specs of the chip it uses:


I'd be curious to have someone compare this to the Apple $69 USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter

Especially curious on how it handles clamshell mode vs. the Apple adapter, which supposedly does 4K at 60Hz on the HDMI port. Also wonder how well it handles power delivery.
