Has anyone updated an iPhone 4 to IOS5 without problems?

I am putting it off because of problems reported here and elsewhere, but I realize that all to often only the people with an issue speak out and those who are successful do not.

Thanks

Really?

Forums are to address problems and issues, not necessarily to praise and talk about non issues. So there are millions of users who have successfully upgraded to iOS 5 without issue and continue to have no issues with iOS 5 or any of the new Apple services. I upgraded 5 devices to iOS 5 without issue.

Had no issue here. The only "problem" I had was getting the upgrade to download due to the massive load on the server from everyone downloading iOS 5 on the first day :p

My upgrade went without a hitch...took a few attempts to authenticate on launch day. Working perfectly for the wife now. I just bought a 4s, and she got my hand-me-down....

Aside from taking a stupidly long time to download (possibly from the servers taking a beating). And losing all my contacts for about an hour (untill I dicked with the iCloud settings and backups).

It went successfully. (Eventually)

I'm at 50-50.

My iPad, wife's iPad and daughter's iPhone updated without problem. My iPhone, wife's iPhone and son's iPhone needed to be wiped and redone (set up as new) since iTunes sync would hang at the last step and never finish.

The sync hang as been reported tons of times on here and on Apple's discussion board, but the various solution suggestions never worked.

iPhone 4 and iPad 1 both upgraded seamlessly when the GM was released. Both are on 5.0.1 now using OTA update.

Yes I had no problem upgrading at all
However the battery life really sucked

So.I used Ifaith 1.32 and created a 4.3.3 with my saved blobs and redid it back to 4.3.3

The trick is using Itunes 10.3 and putting Iphone in Pwned Mode after a backup

I was also able to go back as far as 4.01
It is a lot easier and faster than The Tny Umbella way

If anyone needs a detailed howto please let me know

Upgrade went perfect.

Bad thing is my battery runs out quickly now.

My battery goes down 10-20% while i sleep every night. So its about 1-4 % per hour. But if i use it, the battery drains like 10-20% an hour, sometimes even more.

I would stay away from 5 if you dont need any of the features and want to save battery power.

Every iDevice I own is sitting on 5.0 waiting for the new untethered jailbreak demoed (but still a work in progress) by MuscleNerd

All working great, even the one iPhone4 on tethered jailbreak
