Just out of curiosity, does anyone on here use a headphone amp? I've been thinking of building one lately (once I decide on an iPod of course). I was disappointed with the bass on my last touch but now I'm thinking perhaps a headphone amp would help a lot.

i want one of These in a really bad way. If I read this right you can use it on your desktop with the USB and then when you're ready to do you can use batteries. I know it is a little pricey but I think it would be worth it.

I have one of those and don't consider it pricey at all for what it does.

I first purchased it to use as a usb powered external sound card/amplifier for my laptop, which had a noisy headphone jack with a lot of interference. Of course, it can also be used by battery and linked with portable gear.

The improvement in SQ is noticeable. I would highly recommend it.
