I love the size of 12.9” but sometimes I want to use an 11”. Anyone use both and how do you use them?

I used the two original iPad Pros together for awhile and liked it a lot. I think my "ultimate" setup would eventually be a 12.9" Pro and a Mini as long as the mini removes the huge bezels and they both have Pencil 2 support. I'm still rocking 11" which is a perfect size, except I really want a larger drawing canvas back again, and I don't travel to/from work like I used to, so I don't mind the 12.9".

EDIT: I'd end up keeping the 12.9" at home and traveling with the Mini for trips, work, etc.

well I have an old ipad 5 that I can trade in and get a new 11" to go with my 12.9" for about the same price as a used 2018 ipad pro 11" I think I'd like to try both.

I had all three iPads (12.9, 11 and Mini) at one time. I found myself using the 12.9 the most at home. I preferred the larger screen real estate.

For mobility I picked.... my iPhone. Even the Mini was not as portable as my iPhone, and there just wasn't anything I would rather do on the mini. If I wanted to play my favorite games, I would wait until I was within range of my 12.9.

My wife prefers the 11". She feels the 12.9 is too heavy. She is very happy with her iPad.

I currently picked up a 11” iPad Pro (2020) with MK and a 12.9” iPad Pro (2020) LTE with MK and they both have a place as I typically use my 12.9” when I travel or on the go since it’s my pseudo laptop. Paired with LTE Cellular connection, it’s pretty much limitless for what I need.

The new 11” iPad Pro I use around my home since I prefer to browse and consume on a smaller device compared to the 12.9”. This is a no brainer to anyone, but it really needs to be said that the 11” version just does it all.

I have both sizes of 2018. I used to be iPad-only, and I would essentially hold a zoom call/draw on a whiteboard on one and use the other to display content. Now, I have a Mac mini, and I use the 11 in sidecar, while I still draw on the Zoom whiteboard on the 12.9 for my students. When I travel, I use the iPad-only setup.

In my personal life, the 12.9 is my main driver for around the house. Though I still often use them in tandem-- I like to play Civ VI on the 12.9, and I will use the 11 to browse the internet, write an email, etc. If I'm running out to somewhere I might have to wait, like a doctor's office, I take the 11.

I switch between three iPads (Pro 10.5, Air 4 & Pro 12.9) and every single one of them still gets more use than my personal desktop, laptop and iPhone combined so to me, they're worth the $50/paycheck allotted.

I got the M1 12.9 this go around. Might get a refurb discounted 2021 or latest gen 11 next time. By then, facemasks would hopefully no longer be mandatory at work.

I have the iPhone 12 pro max, iPad Pro 10.5 and the 12.9, both iPads are 2017 and prior.

Use the 12 pro max on the toilet and when out and about. Use the 10.5 the most for travel and everyday use when home sitting in the chair or sofa. Use the 12.9 the least, for when remaining stationary and seated at a table.
