I'm looking for the closest app I can get to a virtual day-planner... Right now I'm debating between Pocket Informant and this app called Organizer (Google Calendar Support). I dont use google calendar, they both seem to sync with it, but thats not important to me...

Pocket Informant is of course more expensive but thats OK (I had it on my blackberry and liked it) but something about Organizer is appealing to me- the reviews are not great however so I wanted to see if anyone here had personal experience with it and could review it? They offer a lite version but it doesn't 'seem to do half the stuff that the full version does, the lite version kind of sucks but because its so limited its hard to get an actual idea of what the app is like. I just dont want to end up purchasing both, that would be close to $20 and i'm half thinking of just going out and getting a good old school planner at this point

I guess what I'm looking for is something to keep track of what I have to do every day because I seem to be really good at forgetting, so I want to be able to put in appointments, as well as tasks, as well as random notes but not be constricted to just a calendar with time slots... if that makes sense.

thanks :) (other app recommendations are welcome also!)

Neither of those is well built for notes. Notes will be added to PI in an update, no ETA on that though. I tried Organizer a while back, and it kept on reordering my events, with my afternoon events being listed before morning events, and I just found that annoying. PI has been mostly excellent (the last update added some crash bugs during certain functions like creating a new template though), and the updates come on a fairly regular basis.

Were I you, I'd just go with PI. Aesthology has put out some great apps, I wouldn't include Organizer as one the their great apps though.

Thanks! I think that is what I am going to do (go for PI) i may put organizer in my app miner and see if it ever goes on sale, but right now since they are both full price I'd rather get the most useful one off the bat. I suppose I could always use another app for notes, I'm just trying to keep things in one place so I can attempt to stay organized a bit better...
