Anyone use Paranoid Android here?

Use it here on my Nexus 4 with ART. Absolutely love how it's stock+

It has an awesome feature called "Hover" ( if you don't know what that is, search for PA Hover and click on the video by Chris Nacca.

Plus it has built in optimizations which make it absolutely fly.

It has a weekly release as well and it has a very intuitive way to edit quick toggles. Also running Franco Kernel so battery is great as well.


Edit- one thing I forgot to mention. The official ROMs are Nexus only.

Decent ROMs. Stable with ART, which I like, but a bit low on features. That's why I ran SaberDroid which is PA on steroids.

Problem with Saber is that it dosnt have proper immersive and PIE mode. But I hear ya about the lack of customisation.

At this point i just want a stable ROM with useful features so PA fills that void.


On a side note I think OMNI-ROM is pretty nice as well.

My issue with PA is all of the stuff they add just isn't especially useful. Halo, Hover, none of is really that great.

I stick with SlimROMS because they basically trim all the fat and add not a helluva lot else.

Slim does indeed make a great ROM. Slimbean was my daily driver when I owned a Nexus 4.

I used PA a bit with my N4 but had to drop it due to a known Bluetooth stack bug. Though I'm sure that was sorted out long ago.

I've just been running the factory image on my Nexus 5 with Franco kernel. I have most of the tweaks I enjoyed on custom ROMs via Xposed (lack of ART support isn't an issue to me because the phone flies on dalvik).

That's fair enough. I personally love the way PA works.

My phone slowed down with Xposed. I didn't like it at all.

I didn't use it when I had my N4 but it doesn't surprise me that it could take a performance hit, especially if you were using GravityBox.

I've not had any noticeable changes to performance on any of the devices I've used it on, however. (M7 GPE, Nexus 5, Nexus 7 2013, GPad GPE)

That's fair enough. I personally love the way PA works.

Stock here running xposed. Its fairly good so long as you don't have two many modules (i have two) and if your running gravitybox (I am) tone down the settings as much as possible.

Yeah gravity box was not the best for the performance...

But neither was dalvik so ART it is

Tue dat. Xposed takes me back to the not so long ago days of jaibreaking my 3gs, it really is like cydia except with a lot less lag and a bit more stability. Talking about the stores compared here.

Right now, I have my navigation buttons disabled, battery percentage and reboot button in GB.

And usually I have the clear all tweak enabled. Right now I don't have it on.

I also I have gesture navigation to replace the soft keys. Works pretty well.

yeah liked PA in the past but have found that Resurrection Remix roms have the best mix of performance and features so have stuck with that

I was running the latest Beta on my HTC One for a while but went back to my Sense ROM as I was encountering a couple very annoying bugs. One was it would constantly resend me entire SMS conversations which encountered in many duplicates... I'll come back to it in the future and hopefully the support for my carrier is better.
