My college has a nice discount on this one and it is suggested for use with 15 inch MBPs...anyone here use this? Does it fit nicely/snugly? Could the case + computer fit well in a backpack with books and supplies? Any other things about it I should know before getting it (if you even think I should) get it?

I had one when I had my iBook, I really liked it. It fit nice and snug and still fit nicely into a backpack. I'd like to get one for my MBP sometime.
I have one for my 15" and loved it - fit very snugly and is perfect protection for placing inside another bag. I also bought the microfibre version for my new 17" and I prefer it slighty over the other, though they both provide similar protection.
I have the 12" iBook one also. Fit is excellent, I really like it. It's not the most colorful one available, but it's nicely made and durable. I have a backpack (be-ez) and a briefcase (Jack Georges), and when I use the latter, and I want my iBook, I use my Tucano very happily. 
The reason I probably didn't already buy one is cause I got one of these.
