anyone using a natural keyboard?

Hi there,

i've done the research and found that you can use a ms natural keyboard or an adesso keyboard for macs.

anyone using either of these? I have an MS version right here, but it's connected to my pc, which will become redundant in a few weeks when I purchase my mac pro as much as i love mac gear, my wrists don't like straight keyboards. i need to have a natural one.

any feedback would be appreciated.

But no, I currently do not use a natural keyboard. Most of the time I'm on a laptop anyways, making it near impossible to consider one anyways. Hopefully you'll have more luck with one!

I've used the split keyboards for years. This new mac came with a wireless apple keyboard and it is pathetic. Too small for my hands. Have to get a new split one soon. Oh, and the Apple Mighty Mouse is a garbage mouse too - need another MX Laser mouse. So much for the cool Apple vibe on the desk.

I've used a Microsoft Natural Keyboard Pro with my 15'' Powerbook G4 from work. It works well enough, none of the "extra" buttons seem to work, but thats no matter.

My Microsoft Natural keyboard works great! A;; the extra keys only work if you install the Mac driver from Microsoft. You can remap many of their functions.

I use the MS Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000. I've been using MS's Natural keyboards on a PC since '99, and when I switched to the Mac, I got a new keyboard to go with it. This is, hands down, *the* most comforable keyboard I've ever used. I absolutely love it. It works fine on my Mac Pro and like panzer06 said, if you install their software, all the extra keys are easily configured.

Just one thing. As you're buying a Mac Pro, you might have the same experience, so I'll share mine with you. Keep your Apple keyboard around. When I've re-installed OS X in the past, I was able to get through the installation with my keyboard without a problem; however, once the computer booted into the OS for the first time, it wasn't able to recognise it. I had to unplug the thing and use my Apple keyboard (I have a wireless one) to install the software, disconnect it, reconnect the MS Natural, and restart the computer before it recognised it. It sounds more complicated than it actually is, and I found the few minutes it took to be a worthwhile investment. I absolutely hate the Apple keyboard and can't recommend this particular MS Natural model highly enough.

I used to use split keyboards, but since switching to the Dvorak keyboard layout, I find I don't need them anymore.

Plus, I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Das Keyboard...
