Anyone using a Speck Clear Case for MBP

my buddy has one!! its really nice...puts together very easily no lose spots very tight and secure fit all the way around. VERY GOOD AIR FLOW!!! does not heat up computer much at all. I really wanna get one I just don't like the red color. Hopefully Speck will come out with a cool blue color!!
Mine arrived yesterday - very impressed with the shipping speed - only 4 days from the States to the UK!
Looks great on, feels like its doing its job - very secure feeling and fits into my Brenthaven Edge II sleeve fine. I'm not entirely sure if I've fitted the bottom properly as the front ports (lid button, IR and optical slot) aren't dead centre... they're about 1-2mm out, yet the side ports are fine. I'll try to refit and see if its all down to my over-keeness in fitting it last night!

It sounds great - i had a case for one of my mobiles based on the same concept, it kept my mobile in absolutely pristine condition but it made my mobile real bulky

I've read that the thickness of the case can affect the angle at which the screen can open, as in the case on the body of the macbook pro and the case on the lcd can interfere with each other effectively reducing the maximum opening angle. Anyone tell me how much?

In my opinion thesy are horrid. The protection the provide is nice but they are god awful to look at.
I had mine for 2 days and sent ot back.
Well.. I read a lot of reviews and decided to order one from Amazon. I figured after reading articles and stories about dents, scratches, etc. with peoples MBP, I want to protect mine.

Day two with my Speck case for the MBP
My first reaction was positive: very easy to fit and actually quite aesthetically pleasing.
I agree on the point about popping when the lid opens - I'm going to refit it to see if it goes away.
The extra weight on the lid concerns me a little bit (hopefully I'm just being over-obsessive). Do you think it will adversely affect the MBPs hinges over time?
