Anyone using Adobe CC

It's been a few weeks since the new Adobe Creative Cloud experience was launched. I still haven't seen a single review of the new software.
Comment about the new subscription model, yes.

Is anyone out there using it? Care to offer a review?

The Adobe forums are full of angry complaints about the installers not working, trouble with authorisation, etc. Also that Encode is missing, and Dreamweaver is "dumbed down". I've also heard that Distiller is missing.

What's your experience?

(For the record, I bought CS6 last year, and have no interest in renting software. CC would have to turn client's spoken instructions directly into artwork for me to consider it.)

Hi Benwiggy,

Yes we started using Adobe CC at the end of last week at our studio. So far we're loving it! I'll post a full review in a couple of weeks when we've had a chance to explore the new features etc. To be perfectly honest it's not much different from CS6 (which I'm currently running at home) but we were all still on CS4/5.5 in the studio so it's made a massive difference. The Cloud is a really useful addition, we can send links to clients in any file format and they can view it in browser and post comments which show up instantly. So there's no hanging around waiting for emails to come through. I should probably say that this isn't something we'd miss if we didn't have it, it's just a nice addition.

Anyway I won't say any more for now. I'm still getting my head around it all, but so far I'd recommend it to anyone!!

We installed early last week and so far so good.

I personally have been using Creative Cloud since it was introduced with CS6 and have found the subscription based system to be seamless and affordable. I don't know of many professionals that cannot afford £50 per month for software if they are working regularly enough.

The software itself is relatively the same as CS6 so far, I have not delved too much into any of the updated features, I have played around with chinaware that comes with After Effects and find it to be a very useful addition but I am sure it will prosper with further development.

There are a few reviews from tech magazines to be found online, Digital Arts magazine has a few so check them out.

Been subscribed for a year, but we've only started to switch over to the CC apps in the past week.

No problems with installers or anything. Photoshop seems 'snappier'...

Had to edit some audio with Audition this week for a mobile app. There was quite a lot of noise on the the recording. Normally we'd use the noise print feature - but this can cause quite a lot of echo. Audition CC however has a great new tool Sound Remover which works in similar way but the results are way cleaner.

Not had time to switch to the other apps in suite yet, we use most of them!

Subscribed for a bit now, upgraded to CC as soon as I could since there was some few tweaks I was looking for.
I must say I'm very pleased with the performance and the upgrade isn't a revolution but it fixes some issues, adds some nice features and streamlines more to the CC-idea, I love the new way the CC menu works, where you can access old software, download directly as needed etc. also file sharing (like dropbox seems to be added soon).
