Hey. Long time reader, very rare poster here. :) Really appreciate everyone's comments and feedback on the new Minis so far.

Looking to replace a 2009 27" iMac (i5/2.66GHz/16GB).

I use my computer heavily all day for my business with InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. While the iMac has been a champ, it's starting to stutter a bit, especially in Mission Control. If I place each CS app on its own screen, switching between them really grinds with a lot of dropped frames. I'm not certain if I'm hitting a VRAM frame buffer limitation, or a processor limitation. Or both.

My concern with the Mini is that while the processor options at the high end should be a solid step up, the integrated graphics are not, and I'll be facing the same problem (meaning, I'd be better off getting a new iMac or waiting on a revised Mac Pro).

I would max out a new Mini (2.6, 16GB, SSD) and pair it with a 27" TB display as a replacement. Can anyone with a similar setup -- or at least, anyone using a 2012 Mini with a 27" display -- comment on how well it performs under the stress of lots of Mission Control screens/the CS apps?

I appreciate it!
