Anyone using MacBook or MBP for Media Server

I was thinking of dumping my Mini and just getting one good 15" MBP that will handle everything I can throw at it, my only concern is leaving the MBP on overnight while using it as a media server.

Anyone doing this right now, I am just tired of having multiple macs for everything

I do. It works fine.

I did and it worked ok but it got very hot so went back to using mac minis
