This looks like a great tool, I used to have the earlier version on my ipod touch a while ago and loved it, but got tired of some of the bugs and UI limitations. v3 looks like it has solved all those issues and more. So for anyone that has gotten their hands on the alpha release by donating...

How stable is the alpha release? Usable? And after donating, whats the process of getting the app from the developer? Oh and how much did you guys donate, whats a good amount?

Thanks in advance

Alpha

is pre beta pre regular release it's a testing stage. so you can expect bugs a problems that is not to say they are there but the Dev is still testing the App as for donating it's up to you usually a 1-2 bucks more if you really love the app or trying to bribe the Dev to be your best friend. lol personally haven't tried stack yet. I use categories and love it!

I've been using it for a couple of weeks, and haven't had any stability or bug issues. Works quite well, though adding an item to the stack is more like adding an alias as the original icon stays on your springboard. Simple solution being hiding the icon once it's added to a stack.

sounds like its worth a few dollar donation, does anyone know how much memory it takes up? any lag problems?

I've noticed zero issues. I donated $5 and think it's well worth it for an effort like this.

for those that have gotten the alpha, now that i've downloaded how long until i am contacted to get the app? do i check my paypal messages or will i get an email? thanks

Reading the documentation not doing it for you?

his working on the updates relax

Your question was plainly answered in the documentation, yet I still answered it.

I have read the documentation.

At no point was I agitated.

I am aware that there will be future updates by the nature of it still being alpha.

Perhaps you should relax as well.

Hey guys, so I donated earlier this week and I still haven't gotten any word from the developer on getting the alpha. I emailed him asking about the status but haven't gotten any info. Does anyone know what the deal could be?

Steven won't send another build to everyone until he has another one developed. He doesn't send them out on a donation-by-donation basis. He sends them out in bulk once he updates it.
If you ask him nicely, he might send you one, but from what contact I've had with him, he seems very set in his ways.

Aight, thanks for the info, hopefully he keeps working on it! At least I'm on the list.

100% PURE AWESOMENESS is all I have to say about this app. I donated $5 and then felt bad (just for a sec though) because others were upwards of $15.

skinned it to match the sbsettings congruency theme:

I think is way better than categories + looks cooler!, I have Categories also!

I would like to add a few stacks (games, apps, etc etc)

Question?

How do I make more than one stack?

You can't yet.
