iPhone Anyone using Virtual Home on the 5s?

Safe in what sense? It's not crashing my 5S if that's what you mean. It works but I think it's a bit slow because it's waiting to see if you will keep touching it for the app switcher. I've emailed the developer asking if he can add an option to disable long hold for app switcher or maybe make it a double tap to trigger app switcher.
I uninstalled it for the time being so you'll have to check yourself but I don't think it has any effect on how you unlock your phone so it will still need your fingerprint to unlock, so no I don't think it has any effect on how secure your phone is.
Default repo. Refresh your sources if you don't see it. Or just search for it.

Good point. Double tap would be much better instead of tap and hold.
Edit: I can't get the single tap to work. Only the tap and hold works for the multitasking. I'm gonna wait for future updates. Not very smooth for me right now. Wish I could just use zephyr!

I would prefer zephyr as well but this will do. At first my timing was a bit off when I tried to single tap vs hold because of the delay. My muscle memory is getting better now and I'm getting it on most tries. A shorter duration & and double tap would be nice though. We are all used to using the home button that way.

I like the app, its been pretty easy to transition to it. The issue I see with Zephyr is it is going to be fighting with the control center.

I'm guessing it'll be something like left half for control center and right half for zephyr. I already do something like this with activator for bringing up app switcher. Zephyr also had that function for certain sections of the screen edges for multitasking.
Did you purchase anything with touch id in the AppStore? Respring/restart do anything?
I haven't purchased anything recently so I don't know if that was affected by the tweak.
Respring/restart does sort of fix the issue. If the TouchID is disabled and I want to enable it, I have to turn it on and then respring to make it work. Kind of a nuisance but not that bad, I suppose.
i wish it could just bypass the actual fingerprint, i don't really need it but using a fingerprint is faster and easier than sliding to unlock, also my fingers don't really work with the touch id very well either.

That's an odd one. Maybe something is conflicting with it? Mine only gets disabled if I make a purchase. Otherwise it functions properly.
Contact the dev perhaps. Not sure if it's possible but worth a shot. He's active on twitter and also reddit I believe:

This tweak doesnt use the actual fingerprint scanner it simply detects if you've touched the scanner. Thats why it also works with any finger. Ive gotten quite used to it now so it works well. Also puts less wear and tear on the home button.
I love it so far. Only issue is taking a screen shot at times.

I just got used to the timing on screenshots. Not actually touching the button and just pressing it. There are control center toggles for screenshot functions in the various cc tweaks. Or you could assign screenshot to something else in activator?
