Anyone waiting for Santa Rosa?

Just curious, is anyone planning to "skip" Merom and 945GM, for Crestline (Santa Rosa platform) which is planned for early 2007? It's said to have an 800 MHz FSB and 802.11n.

I guess it all depends on individual needs, but I like following this stuff.

That's too long a wait for me, so I will probably get it in August/September during WWDC/MWP

I bought a Macbook now because I need a Mac and the value is incredible. I figure I can use the $800 I save to put towards an intense desktop after all of the new chips and platforms come out.

Yeah I agree, MacBook is an outstanding value. I'm not sure when I'll need a computer, so I'm looking far ahead.
