Anything look different about the new MacBook? I have seen a few mentions in threads about the keyboard being different. Anything else about them seem different? How do they run? Are they running hot or are they cooler than the previous models? Other observations?

I've bought two MacBooks...

one for myself and one for my wife and we are both extremely happy and excited about the purchases (Aug 23, '07 & Sept 26, '07). They seem to get a bit warm, but that's not any worse than our Dell XPSM1710 17" Screen or Fujitsu LifeBook 9-10" Screen, which both run a bit hot as well. The MacBooks "start-up" and "connect to the internet" in about 10 seconds v. the Dell & Fujitsu taking about 4-5 minutes, and some! The keyboards on the MacBook are exceptional, so we don't misskey or have trouble striking the RETURN key, (eg. the Fujitsu). They are lighter than the Dell, and easier to keep clean, 'cause you can tell when they are dirty or dusty. I love the "just in case someone trips over your powercord contraption." Most of all, I enjoy the WiFi set-up, since I'm constantly seeing PC users asking each other "Do you have a signal?" Not a problem for US! Also, we bought the AppleCare and we have both made the trek to the nearest Apple Store for WORKSHOPS (Free by the way!), regarding iLife '08, iPhoto & iTunes, Final Cut Pro, Mac X OS, iDVD & iMovie, and iWeb. In fact, I'm heading out tomorrow to sit-in on the Workshops at the San Francisco Apple Store, from 12:00 noon - 7:00 pm, when they ask me to LEAVE! You can't beat FREE WORKSHOPS! If I had to do it all over again, I would have enjoyed getting another FREE iPod for our 2nd MacBook, since we missed the cut-off date by 10 days! Bought the Apple iPhone on Oct 11, '07 (Talk about LOVE!). Good Luck and enjoy your NEW MacBook. Damn, I don't even get paid to do this!!!

It's good to see a satisfied customer :) but he's asking about the new macbooks.

OP: What specifically are you interested inlearning more about?

Yes, wondering about the NEW MBs which came out today. Just wondering if there are any other physical differences (as I've seen mentions in other threads that the keyboards might be different).

Also, do they run any hotter/cooler than previous MBs?

And any other general thoughts on the NEW MBs released today would be appreciated, from someone who bought one today.

I bought one today and the keyboard is different. I happen to like it, but i have to take it back b/c when I turn it on it makes a clicking sound and the fan constantly runs when I'm on the web. Other than that, I love it! :D

In what way is the keyboard different?
