I was going to switch to Verizon Fios and called Cablevision to see what they could offer me to keep me. They gave me Optimum Boost free for a year among other discounts.

Here are the speeds I am getting, I'm actually quite surprised as these are speeds I would expect from Fios:

Granted I last night I was only getting 16774, but still that is even comparable to Fios.

Just thought I'd share with anyone that has Cablevision.

I live on Long Island, used to have Cablevision, but switched over to Fios Oct 2007,
I get 20-30 in downloads and up to 15 in uploads. The uploading is what kills Cablevision and their products (as well as any Cable company in teh US) The problem with Fios is that Cablevision has fought tooth and nail to stop it spreading. If Cablevision (or any cable co) is that worried then you know Fios is superior.
