Anyone see their 17" MBP shipping yet?

My order was put in April 26th in the evening, with an expected ship date of May 10th. That date hasn't moved.

Any see their shipping date move up (or down)?

Was @ my local apple store today and they claim they will definately have some in stock by tomorrow... so you never know... maybe some units will start shipping early...
 
I just hope I don't get a - "sorry, when we said 10 days we really meant 2 months" type situation, like when the powermac G5s first came out. I need a laptop very soon.

We shall see.

I would be really upset if that happened. I leave the country on a 2 year assignment on the 14th and need this laptop by then.

I ordered on the 24th BTW but have also heard rumors that some stores would be getting them in today ...

I'm replying to myself. :eek: :p

I just called the bank. Apple has 'reserved' the funds and added a note to the transaction that it will be charged and the funds taken out tonight.

Wonder if that means it's shipping early eh?

I found this post on the Apple Discussion Site. Lets see if it pans out ...

After conversing with my local Compusa's Apple representative, he decided to enlighten me with the bit of knowledge that they'd be in by Wednesday. I couldn't wait that long! So I ordered one online April 24, the first day the 17" was made available around noon. However, it still hasn't shipped, and if it doesn't by tomorrow morning, I'm cancelling and waiting for Comp's shipment. If anybody's ships, please do tell!

Me too. No change in the online order status.

FWIW, someone on the Apple forums went to the Apple Store in Indy today and they still claim the machines are expected this week

I've got a sick feeling in my stomach that I'm not seeing my 17'er until July.

Hopefully thats just the burrito talking.
