My battery did not have a huge issue with drain after I made some fixes to it (by shutting off certain apps)

My battery the day before (and with more use) only lost 15% for the whole day.

I updated last night, and today I barely used my phone, just a few texts, and I have lost 20% in just 9 hours.

I'm still on 5.0.0 and just noticed i lost 11% battery life leaving it on standby for 15minutes...

I literally left it charging over night for 10+ hours and when i woke up, i unplugged it to check my messages and threw it back on my bed and carried on snoozing for 15mins. Went back to check and it was 89%... seriously wtf.

I'm scared to update to 5.0.1, as people are complaining it will get worser. Plus i'm waiting for the 5.0.0 jailbreak... arggghhh! Damn you!

Phone wasn't used for one second today and it's already down 8% in under two hours. This is growing tiring.

I had no problems with 5.0, even with all of the system location services on.

Updating to 5.0.1, I began to have fast standby drain problems. I disabled all of the system location services and battery life is back to normal—about 1-2 days standby and 4-6 hours of usage. Standby only drains about 1% every 2-3 hours.

5.0 was bad. 5.0.1 is worse. Did a full restore last night and have almost all the optional services turned off. Still awful.

Quite sad that my iPhone battery is worse than my old BB Torch.

I went from 100% to 97% while plugged in and I went from 100% to 88% after 46 minutes of usage. I don't think that's acceptable at all.

I did a complete restore and still find similar issues.

Me too,

iPhone 4 16gb unlocked...

Normal-ish battery life with ios5, then when updated to ios 5.0.1 it feels a lot worse, especially with 3g usage.

64GB 4S:

Out of the box ios5.0: really bad battery. Much worse than ios 4.0 on the ip4.

Went to apple store, reinstalled ios5.0, improved battery, barely worse then ip4 on ios4.

Did the OTA update of ios5.0.1 when it came out on thursday, worst battery life ever. 100% to 0% in 3 hrs, all standby.

However, its been improving its battery performance in recent days.

God knows whats happening...
