I'm using a PC and am not quite sure how the photos application is determining the sorting order. Is there anyway I can modify my photos exif data or file name to get the photos to sort in a manner I choose?

I don't have any Macs with iPhoto only windows computers.

I'm in the same boat. It seems that it's set to sort images by date modified, with the oldest images in an album, being the cover image for the stack(not ideal).
It would ok, if they were sorted by name, like the actual albums are.

uhhhggg it's not sorting by date modified, it's sorting by "Date taken" there is absolutely no way to change that value that I can think of.

So what are there no iPad applications that you can control the sorting on? I got this Photo-sort application but it crashes non stop and you can't transfer files into it via usb.

As a photographer this device has been nothing but trouble, doesn't seem very well suited to using professionally.

Solution: get a mac. ;)

But seriously, you should be able to edit the exif info. There's loads of programs that you should be able to find with a quick google search.

There are some apps that allow you to edit the date taken along with all the other file metadata.
