anyway to get back from of the OSX 10.6 features.?

I miss having the disk space available at the bottom of the folder windows...
any way of getting things like this back...

using the view option info also ads info to every other icon as well, that I dont like...

View > Show Status Bar. That hasn't changed since SL, it just needs to be selected.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean, but the Finder hasn't really changed since SL, so the experience should be exactly the same. You just need to apply the settings that you want. If you Migrated your settings, which you mentioned in another thread, these things should have come over.
(Except for the advantage of better handling of merged folders and duplicates.)

As others have stated: Finder > View > Show Status Bar

Finder > View > Show View Options > Show item info (uncheck)
