Anyway to open a xls file direct?

Is there anyway to open a file, an xls file, direct from the home screen? At the morning is saved in an email so I have to search and then can open it.

I can save it on iCloud drive or Dropbox, I also have the app workflow but can't see how to.

I meant rather than opening excel, opening the file separately.

I want a shortcut on the home screen to tap so it opens straight away.

When you have selected the .xls file in the Dropbox app you could mark it as favorite or for offline use to get it quickly opened up but still via the Dropbox app.

There is maybe an option to bookmark the file directly but in order to do that you need to browse to the file on Dropbox on your mobile device with the Safari browser. Then you should be able to use the the share sheet button (square with arrow pointing up) and select from the grey/white options (bottom one) 'Add to Homescreen'. I'm not sure though if it will then ask to login each time. Maybe you could instead use a link to the file via this share with friend/family feature so login access is not required.

For Google Drive there is this workaround available that a user created.
