I understand how AOD works and that the screen obviously dims during this, but for me, when it is sitting on my desk in AOD mode, it is so dim I can barely even see it. There seems to way to adjust this anywhere.

Anyone have the same issue where its so dim you struggle to see it?

From the reviews and my personal experience so far, always-on is at the contrary brighter than other always-on phones on the market. So far, the brightness is fine with me, you may have an issue with your unit

Maybe try turning auto brightness off? And/or adjusting the brightness manually. I’m not sure if either of those settings factor into the AOD, but in addition to a restart they’re worth a try.

Mine seems overly bright if anything. The wallpaper is fairly dark but the text is bright and the notifications seem fairly bright. My text is a light teal color so I'm sure different text colors will affect this but I'd assume the notifications show up the same brightness for everyone.

Currently using a B&W background on mine with black type. Photos dim a ton, but if you use lighter colored type, you'll see it well on AOD. White appears best.

Def not as bright as my Apple Watch Series 7. I assume "Brighter AOD" will be a selling point on future phones.

Just wish there was a touch more customization to it.

I find it ok for what it displays. I can glance quickly and know what it all says. If there were other widgets like music playing or something like that I don't think they would be so visible.
