Unfortunately, the OEM iPod adapter in my new car does not allow the iPhone to fit. But I'd like to listen to a live streaming CBS radio station using the AOL Radio app.

Is this possible via a Bluetooth headset? How about Bluetooth headphones?

What I meant was could you not just rip the iPod Adapter Cable out of the housing and set the iPhone in the compartment outside of the holder. Then use a bluetooth headset to answer calls if/when they come in.

Good suggestion. I'll give it a shot. Thanks.

If space is tight, I was thinking you need an ipod dock extension cable (male to female). Unfortunately I've never seen such a thing...

... and then Google produced this: http://www.cablejive.com/extendercable.html

So there you go:)

Ooh nice find! I'll try the suggestion above but if it's a hassle, I'll order this cable. Thanks!!

So I got the iPhone into my car's OEM iPod adapter while the AOL Radio app was playing but.... unfortunately it begins playing whatever song was last chosen on the iPod part of the iPhone.

So no audio via the apps when connected to the car's iPod adapter. BOO. Now I really wish I would've stuck with the aux. input jack instead of the iPod adapter! :(

Is it still illegal to drive with headphones? ;)
