Today, AOL released version 4.0.2 for their mobile AIM application. Here are the release notes:

-Address Performance issues reported by users
-Improved overall performance of AIM application
-Optimized the request and processing of AIM buddies, status and Lifestream events
-Fixed an issue where some users were not heading AIM sounds
-Minor fix to improve stability

The application requires iPhone OS 2.2.1

Maybe now i'll stop missing IMs. The badge says I have (for example) two messages, I click on the app and nothing is there/updated
