AP article about difference between Cingular/ATT stores

I don't know if this has been posted yet, but I know a lot of people (such as myself) were wondering how to tell the difference between the AT&T Franchises and authorized resellers.

Cook said the AT&T-owned stores are branded that way, whereas other franchise outlets still carry the Cingular name.

And they contradict themselves by including “but thousands of other franchise outlets carry the AT&T or Cingular name.” thanks for clearing that up, AP!

You do not want to go to an 'Authorized Retailer' store. Those are the franchise stores.
