Hi
I’vd had a paid of AirPod Pro that have refused to reset or pair for months!

I got them back out this week, charged them, followed all the reset/pair steps again and NOTHING.

So I bought a new pair. They arrived today (still boxed) and for some reason I thought I would try my old pair. The moment I open the lid they appear on my iPhone, let me connect and work fine!

Have Apple released a new firmware or something that could have updated them due to being close to my phone earlier this week?

Frustrating but now I have a backup pair…

If they weren't paired to your phone, there's no way for the firmware to have been updated.
