Hey,

I've been trying to get apache to start working, but I'm having difficulties. What do I modify so that I can change my homepage (the part where it says apache was succesfully installed)?

Thanks

P.S. I'm a newbie. Thanks to anyone who can help me

if you open the apache httpd.conf file, (usually found in /etc/Apache2) there is a property that is

DocumentRoot: Libraray/Website/stuff

this tells you the directory that apache is looking in when you visit localhost (or whatever the domain is)

If you want to change the page, go to the directory specified in documentroot and edit the index.html page there.

you can also change the documentroot if you want to, but there are a couple of other places in the httpd.conf file that will need to be changed as well.
