Yeah, it's not playing nice with your CoreServices. What version of Ape do you have installed?Benjamin said:something to do with Application Enhancer by unsanity.
Have you installed ShapeShifter or any other products from the software vendor "Unsanity" or installed anything that changes the UI? Many of these will install APE (which I loathe).neno76 said:How i can view the version of aped ? ...I haven't installed this... i think other software install this application.
Why do you not like application enhancer? Just curious as I use it, with clear dock, and would like to hear if there's something I should be aware of. Thanksmatticus008 said:... APE (which I loathe).
Oh, I just don't trust it. It uses invisible daemons, leeches off CoreServices, basically acts like a DLL might in Windows. I haven't heard of too many problems with it, other than that in the past it ate up a good chunk of memory and "unexpectedly quit" off and on, that sort of thing. I'm just something of a purist and don't like things latching into my kernel. It's totally a personal opinion thing. Lots of people use it and swear by it, and that's cool with me.neocell said:Why do you not like application enhancer? Definitely understand your point of view, and somewhat agree with it, but I guess I'm a sucker for fancy bells and whistles on OSX. Thanks for the postmatticus008 said:Oh, I just don't trust it.
