Hi

I am test driving Aperture 2 and I wanted to know if there is a benefit to exporting my jpg images to Photoshop Elements 6 using tiff format versus psd? Can I use layers in both?

Thanks

PSD will likely be smaller if you don't compress the TIFF when you save.

There should be no substantial difference, I personally use 16bit tiff files when exporting, but then again my aperture library is getting close to 400gb

pprior - can I ask why you are using tiff instead of psd?

I think at one point I had a glitch with some multilayered psd files at one point when importing back into aperture. to be honest it has been quite awhile ago. I started using tiff and just never changed. If you save with compression, file sizes are the same as PSD and they are both lossless, so it really shouldn't matter, AFAIK.
