Hi All,
I am coming from an Trashcan Mac Pro to a Mac Studio. When I was running on my Trashcan Mac Pro I had volumes set up like:

Name: "Macintosh HD" Type: APFS Role: "APFS System Volume"
Name: "Data" Type: "APFS (Case-Sensitive)" Role: "APFS Data Volume"

When I received the Studio it came completely as expected (case-insensitive) on both volumes. I created a new volume called Data with the "APFS Data Volume" role. I then removed the original Data volume. The Mac would not boot even though all was the same with the system volume. I presume this has something to do with the T2 chip? I would really like to be able to have a data volume with a different filesystem than the system volume. Is this possible on ARM/T2 macs? Is this a new restriction?

If possible I would appreciate people avoid comments with workarounds to my issue or telling me I am/was doing it wrong (however I know this is the internet and there is always someone who can’t resist telling others how wrong the way they do things is). Anyhow for the others who know about such things (command line diskutil, setting volume roles, etc.) I thank you in advance.

…and I was finally able to get it set up that way again! That wasn’t fun, but back to being happy!
